What to bring whitewater rafting:
Below is a few of the items we recommend bringing on your whitewater rafting trip. These recommendations are subject to seasonal and river changes. A more detailed list will be sent within the information packet you receive upon reserving your trip.
Quick drying athletic wear. Note that cotton will stay wet for longer periods of time. Long sleeve shirts can offer more sun protection. Fleece layering is your best option for cold weather trips.
Footwear - Athletic sandals (Teva, Keen, Chaco) or tennis shoes that can get wet. Shoes need to stay on your feet. No flip flops please.
Our helmets comfortably fit a baseball cap underneath and provides the face with additional sun protection.
Sunglasses with a strap - Don’t think that because you've been in the pool with them, that they’re safe from the rapids.
Reusable water bottle.
Sunscreen and/or lip balm.
Tip for your raft guide and/or driver - If you feel as though they made your day special or even made you laugh once, gratuities are always appreciated.
Above all, please do not bring too much. Remember that you should have a use for everything you bring down river. This helps limit the extra non-essential items. If you have any medical conditions in which it is necessary to bring personal medicine with you (i.e. EpiPen, inhaler, medication pills) please let the trip leader know. They will be able to keep it in a safe, dry, and accessible space on the raft during your trip.
